FOR THOSE SEEKING TO "PLAY UP" INTO A PARTICULAR AGE GROUP

High Point Pony maintains a philosophy where players are strongly encouraged to play in their age appropriate division each season. We believe this best benefits all players in our program.

A player wanting to play up in the next Division may be considered only if they are within 1 year age wise from playing in that Division under normal age restrictions.  For parents that wish to have their child play "up" into an older age group, please send your request via email to our League President (Click to email) after registering your child in their age appropriate division. The player will need to attend evaluations for both their age appropriate division and the division they are wanting to play up in. The High Point Pony Board of Directors and the commissioners of both divisions will discuss the request and make a final determination concerning the player.

FALL BASEBALL & SOFTBALL

At High Point Pony we move players up to their next Division in the Fall that precedes the Spring that they are required to move up by Pony rules.  This method basically follows  the school calendar - a player starts a new grade in the Fall and similarly starts a new Division in the Fall.  We do this as the Fall season is a less competitive atmosphere and it offers more time for training, development, to learn the rules of the new Division and to become accustomed to the larger field.
