About High Point Pony
High Point Pony is a non-profit volunteer based organization that is dedicated to building character, courage and loyalty in local area youth. We provide a fun, safe and competitive baseball and softball program. To be successful, High Point Pony requires a tremendous amount of support from the local community. We receive no financial aid from any government or municipal agencies.
High Point Pony provides an opportunity for boys and girls of High Point between the ages of 3 and 15 to participate in one of America’s oldest and most esteemed youth league organizations. Every child is guaranteed playing time in every game. Since our beginning in 1989, High Point Pony has held the player registration fees to a minimum to attract as many participants as possible without creating a financial burden to our families. We count on sponsors like you to supplement our operating expenses and help maintain the vibrancy of our program.
Over 800 families participate in our program each year, visiting our facility at least 2-3 times per week. On any given Saturday during the season, nearly 2,500 people pass through our gates. Interleague play with other local youth leagues brings several hundred additional families to our complex each season.
High Point Pony is proud to serve as the annual host for a number of PONY International sanctioned tournaments. In past years, we have hosted the Pony East Zone Championship, which is the last step before the Pony World Series in Washington, PA; as well as the Bronco 11u Piedmont Section, Bronco Piedmont Section, Bronco Piedmont District, Mustang Piedmont Section, Mustang West Section, Mustang Piedmont District, and Pinto South Regional Zone tournaments and the 1st ever Pony Softball State tournament for 8u, 10u & 12u Divisions. All told, our annual attendance tops 10,000 guests and attracts teams and fans from the entire Triad, the state of North Carolina, southern Virginia and Champions from the Mid-Atlantic and North East regions of the country.
Your donation helps offset the costs of player equipment, league insurance, umpire and coach training, volunteer background checks, operational expenses and provides scholarship money for underprivileged families.
